3. How does sex stereotyping influence us at different stages in our lives?
Sex stereotyping makes us pretend to be popular human beings such as women who are feminine and men who are masculine. What is FEMININE? And what is MASCULINE? I feel really choking and uncomfortable for these situations in my daily life. For example, a lot of articles and books says that women should be modest or graceful to be favorite types of men because we women cannot live without relying on men. Excuse me, I have one question. Are MEN so admirable? How silly! I know both women and men are human beings without gender gap because we are creatures which live as people on the same planet, earth.

4. Is tourism good or bad for the planet? Explain.
In my opinion, no, it's not because a lot of tourists do not care about how to sustain or create the environment which is good for not only human beings but also innocent creatures and vulnerable nature. For example, Mt.Fuji has really serious garbage problems according to one student who gave an excellent speech at the speech contest at the Saturday as all of you know. The place which are famous as a sightseeing spot can attract not only human benefits but also evil human habitat. And I think "human centered design" is seriously dangerous. We human beings have duties we live with feelings of deep gratitude for the mother nature. We MUST think about how to protect and sustain precious and beautiful nature even when we are in the situations of leisure tourism.

5. Does society place too much importance on image and beauty?
Do beautiful people have easier life?
Yes, it does. I think maybe... of course, making effort to get gorgeous appearance and to give good impressions for others is good, awesome. However, I think people are not so happy these days. If anything, they always seem to get tired. They are able to spend smarter life than today's one without lots of expenses and pains.
No, they don't. I think that beautiful people who often appear on TV and magazine are attractive and cool! However, I do not want to be them. And just in my case, sometimes, others say I'm gorgeous and beautiful but I do not feel comfortable and glad about such situations.I always have an inferiority complex in my family and GSE classmates. This is truth. And my best friends in my junior and senior high school days did not care about their appearances so much but I love them and think they are so attractive and gorgesous.
Happiness is depends on us.

What do you know about the terms ethical consumerism, sweat shops, and fair trade goods?
No, I don't think so just in my case. I'm economizing on transportation and amusement expenses instead of paying lots of money for my interests. And I 'm working now. So it's natural to consume for my interests and apperarance.
I know that there are a lot of children who do not know even how sweet chocolate tastes but be forced to work in plantations of chocolates in the world. According to the books which I've read before , "fair trade" is profitable for nto poor countries but rich countries. Fair trade is NOT fair between poor countries and rich countries.
These days, I cannot understand what is GOOD, what is THIS WORLD...

6. Think Positive
6. Should voluntary work be made a compulsory subject in schools? Why (not) ?
I disagree with this opinion. I think that all students do not have to belong any voluntary works without their own wishes because voluntary works must not exist as a burden. If you participate any vountary works, you must have active and positive thinking.
Actually, today, I take part in some kinds of voluntary works. They are not obligations for me, however, I do these works because I'm interested in various fields which include not only serious issues but also playing with children. Thanks to these voluntary works, I could meet best friends who belong to other department or other grade people. So, they are so meaningful and essential for my life.
In conclusion, I think that voluntary work can be so meaningful experiece for us but everyone does not have to take part in it.

Discussion 5: Happiness♡
Q4. If you were in charge of creating a Gross National Happiness (GNH) index, what factors would you take into account?
If I can create it, I want to take "smile" into acount as the major factor because I think smile is very very imortant for our lives. It has very very wonderful power. Today, I would like to talk about what is "smile" for me.
First, I think that the environment which we can laugh at easily means very comfortable environment. Actually, I'm really bad at changing my expression flexible from these days and I was also written by my home room teacher of the 6th grade in my elementary school,
"You usually never laugh at school. However, the smile that you sometimes show is so beautiful and wonderful. If you are always with a smile, your life can be changed dramatically."
At that time, I couldn't understand his words and I hate elementary school, but I loved my awesome friend of crum school. So I always smiled at crum school naturally.
Now that I can smile not always but every day thanks to my own history which is not only happy one but also tragic one. And I really think that smile is very very important for communication, reliance and confidence between me and others.
In conclusion, crying is sometimes necessary for refreshing , however, as usual, smiling is much more important for everyone. Smile can change our lives dramatically!

Discussion 4: Family Matters
4. When you are old and frail, would you want to live with your family or in a nursing home?
In my case, it is better to live with people who are in a similar situation or same generation in a nursing home, than to live with my childen and their families against their will. Actually,I have each 2 grandparents, the mother's side and the father's one. They all are over 70 years old. However, they have very different characters, for example, my mother's ones are courteous and have a good sense of humor, so they get along well with their neighbors and us, family but say that they will go to a nursing home some day because they don't want to give us troubles. By contrast, my father's ones are aggressive and have spiteful tongue anyone and everyone, so they can't get alog with even their children. I know their good points and appreciate for their support or help from my childhood, however, if I were their children, I will hesitate to live together in same home.
I think, I wish we all, including old people and babies, could live and help each other happily. However, the reality is different from an ideal. So if anyone couldn't live with their old parents, there are any reasons and is no help for them. Instead of not to live togeher, they should help promote a nation's welfare or make a comfortable situation or place not only for youngers but also for old people. I think this issue includes deep and complicated problems.

Discussion3 : Love around the World
2. First, I want to say that I'm against the traditional gender roles, because they often mean "male chauvinism". In short, they looks down on us, females. So I don't like the traditional roles in the core.
By contrast, I long to have gentleman partner who takes the lead in paying for something, or invites me to the romantic situation if I can meet anyone, because I want to be always made much of by others and think the way of life to be passive is comfortable and easy not only for me but also for everybody. That's why I like Mr.Komatsu!
So, maybe my answer is "yes". However, I think we can also say about the relationship among normal friends. And I think I have to take care of them regardless of gender or sex, but maybe there is special mood or atmosphere between man and woman. This is a complicated question.

2. What are some of the discipline problems that you have heard about at schools in Japan?
I have heard some of the strict discipline problems for me.
First, I have heard about Sanyo Jogakuen high school's one. There is a rule that the students cannot shave or arrange even their eyeblow.
Second, I have heard about Nortre-Dame Seishin junior and senior high school's one. There are some rules that the students have to tie their hair for two parts, and fold up and wear even though their socks.
Third, I have heared about Yasuda girls' junior and senior high school's one. There is a rule that the students have to wear not only their school uniforms but also scarf in cold season.
Well, those three examples are only about girls' schools because I don't have any great connection with coeducation schools and boys' schools. So I 'm interested in girls' careful about their appearance and fashion.

8. Is it important to have a degree?
*I chose this questin, Q.8, because no one chose it.
Yes, it is. That's why I think one degree is a kind of one's efforts.
For example, all we, GSE classmates, have the Eiken 2nd grade or more.
At least, I remember that I studied hard to get the degree because I wanted to take an enterance exam of GSE major. Yes! this major :]♪
I know my case is very little thing, but I got so happy feeling & a sense of achievement when I passed it.
Of course, I don't have such a prejudice that only a degree controls our life, but I think it can be a tool of something, one's confidence, & one of the individuality. Because there are various kinds of degrees. So I think that we cannot judge others from only one's appearance, but still I need much time to know the each person's personality. In other words, it is the first shortcut to know what one's efforts & interests. Don't you think so, too?
At last, I think that a degree is similar to a competition, a game or a match. If I can win of them, I'll be so happy & be proud of myelf. On the contrary, if I cannot win of them, I'll be so unhappy & regrettable but a motivation springs out from then soon! "I would be able to win of them next time with more & more efforts!!!"
